Is this the plunger / rubber diaphragm thing for the early (ie. 82-84 roughly) carbs? Short of repairing your existing diaphragm (using some spray on rubber), my understanding it that you'll need to source a new carb because these are impossible to find. You can keep an eye on eBay for a used carb which will hopefully have an intact diaphragm.

iv found the easyist thing to do is to use a 12mm speed fight carb for a good swap with minimum fuss eather take off the auto choke and replace it with a manuel or rig the two wires that come off it to the egnition or a driving lamp some thing that is turned on by the ignition and stays on till you shut it down any 12v supply will do I hope this helps

you can do the same thing with the gy6 carbs as long as its the same cc engine it came off but i would't go ang bigger than 20mm carb as they get a bit fiddly to tune Rolling Eyes
